The second in-person workshop series, Land Use Alternatives, was held the week of January 29, 2024 to February 1, 2024 across Districts 1-4 and was a great success! We had a great turnout with much higher attendance than Series #1 and the community provided great insights and feedback. We heard a diversity of ideas and opinions ranging from protecting the character of the community to housing affordability and homeownership to increasing the uses and businesses in Vista’s Downtown.

The City of Vista is excited to announce our next workshop Series for the Vista General Plan Update.

This workshop series, Land Use Alternatives, will present two alternative Land Use Plans that have been developed as a result of feedback received from series #1 workshops.

On April 25, 2023, the project team provided Vista City Council with an update on the project's progress. This is presentation included a brief overview of the project background and the work done to date, and provided a detailed account of Workshop Series #1, Establishing the Vision, and the key takeaways from the event.

Our first in-person workshop series, 'Establishing the Vision', was held the week of March 20 across Districts 1-4 and was a great success! All workshops were well attended and the community provided detailed and insightful commentary on their Vision for Vista, including what is working in Vista, what they would like to see change and what they would like to see protected in the future.
